Raleigh's Amazin Race Singles Fest Introduction

Raleigh's Amazin Race singles fest 2010 is a festival featuring an adventure race based on the popular TV series "The Amazing Race" in which couples race around reading clues, facing challenges and trot the globe for a financial bonanza. Our festival is based on the same concept just with a twist. Our adventure race will highlight Downtown Raleigh's unique features and heritage promoting its growth and urban community along with showcasing local businesses. This festival will be hosted by Kaden Maddox Events a full service event planning company. This event will rely on the support of the local businesses in the community to support the effort and provide sponsorship. There will be plenty of versatile sponsor opportunities, to be posted soon.

Our Aim is to encourage more people to explore and visit downtown Raleigh and give active professional singles an opportunity to network and mingle with other singles in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Singles in teams of two to four will race around the Downtown area in competition with other teams. Teams strive to complete challenges to win major cash prizes and support a local charity/charities in some way connected to downtown Raleigh.

Details are being worked out currently, that is the overall theme. We are hoping to attract hundreds of Singles from the Triangle area to participate in the Race. Below is some of the proposed logistics.
Date: Between Mid July-August 31st. To be decided upon after initial community meeting.
Event Start Location: Fayetteville Street Mall
Event End Location: Fletcher Park- for party with food and musical entertainment
Event Cost: $100.00 per team
Partial proceeds to benefit charity (charity undecided)
Top Prize: $2,000 for 1st place contestant
Teams should register early and encourage friends and family to sponsor teams to benefit local charity.

At the moment we are in the process of establishing the committee. We have several areas that we are looking for interested persons to lend a hand in overseeing along with the help of Kaden Maddox Events professionals.
